Jake Robinshaw, Give or Take (2022).
This work considers the relationships between humans and objects, positing a series of illusions that manipulate scale and space. Electron microscopy is used as a means of imaging lithic-matter the size of a grain of sand, resulting in images that look uncannily like mountains from another world. In this process, the image’s construction is born out of the subatomic breakdown of the actual objects they depict.
